"There was glory in pissing, Corabb decided as he watched the stream curve out and make that familiar but unique sound as it hit the ground." So true.

My brother created this game (he works for himself, has done quite well at it too)

Oh yeah, this as well:

I don't claim these are the best games or anything, just wanted to share my brother's achievements. Personally I'm more of a strategy game person and am not great at platformers.

I like the paradox interactive games, such as Victoria II, Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings II. I once led the Ua Cheansellaigs of Leinster to become the Kings of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Aragon, Poland and Hungary, as well as the Duke of Gascony  by a combination of clever/strategic marriages and useful dynastic wars during a succession crisis. At one stage in the game, I was able to raise a combined army of 100,000 men and single handedly stopped the Mongol onslaught. Epic. As the wealthiest and most militarily powerful dynasty in the world, I was able to intervene in pretty much all the main succession crises in France and England. It was tough to keep this Empire together though. My Kings tended to be fertile and had lots of sons, so every succession nearly always brought about a terrible civil war. In Crusader Kings II, it is ALWAYS wise to keep a nest egg of a couple of thousand quid, so that you can call up mercenaries when in bother (This has its pitfalls too, as a Scottish group forged a mini state for themselves in Munster when I was no longer able to pay them) All this from a dynasty that invited the Normans to Ireland and effectively started the domination of Ireland by the English...

Best for whom?

A 5 year old isn't going to want tournament chess....

Having said that, here are some of my faves...

Go, ancient Asian board game. Very, very hard, but also very, very rewarding. You can play against a computer, or on the internet, but you really need people. There is a great deal to learn.
"Life is a simplified paradigm of Go."

Skyrim, great scenery, with thousands of mods you can alter the game to suit your taste and then keep changing it to mix things up.
