Was this battle of more significance than the battle fought at Waterloo?

I'd say so. If Waterloo had been lost, the outcome would have been the same anyway once the million or so Russian and Austrian troops finished making their way through the Black Forest and invaded france a month or two later. Waterloo was simply the final nail in the coffin.

Leipzig shattered the French hegemony over Germany and allowed for the greater coordination of allies and potential allies against Napoleon, which was much more significant to the outcome of the war.
