Hi, there,

About a month ago we started playing online risk. The second runner up was chess at the time.

I was wondering if it is time to start playing another game. Of course, this doesn't mean that those who want to continue playing risk will stop; it will just mean that we can play another game.

So, the question is, should we keep playing risk, move to chess, or move to another game?

If you choose another game, let me know what that game should be.

If you choose to move to chess, let me know if a tournament should be organized.

Or if we should organize tournaments for both, let me know so that I can get working on it :)

Chess and Risk are time consuming for me, I'd prefere Diplomacy.

I still won't be able to play either, for the next little while, sorry. However after exams I will do my best to fit some in Smile

You keep working on your exams. Actually, though, having a little turn here and there help to rest the mind in increments of 5 minutes, what you just need while studying for test

Hi, Giannis,

Well, we had our series of diplomacy games about two years ago, and we just finished a team tournament that started a year ago :P

In fact, if you wish, we could play risk with many of the components of diplomacy. Not the same thing, I know, but an approximation at this point. :)

Never played diplomacy, could be interesting. But stick with Risk a while longer, there are still plenty of maps to try.
A tournament would be interesting though.

Okay, We can try so simple point system where you earn points depending on what place you were eliminated.

Assuming games of 7 players, points could be awarded with the following formula: 8 - finishingPlace = points for game.

So 1st place would get 8 - 1 = 7 points
2nd place 8 - 2 = 6
3rd 8 - 3 = 5
and so on

We can play a series of 5 tournament games, with the winner being whoever has more points.

Sounds good? Should I make a post on this?

Hmm, well let me see if I can set up a chess tournament too. I will start the threads now.
