I am trying to figure out where the princely state(s) of Anandpur were. According to Members.iinet, there are three: Anandpur (Surag Sadul or Chotila Thana Estate), Anandpur (Khachar Desa Bhoj Estate) and Anandpur (Khachar Dada & Nana Jiwa Estate). The site does not state where they (or it) is located. According to the Imperial Gazetteer of India (at dsal.uchicago.edu), one is a Petty State in Kathiawar, Bombay; another is a village in Keonhjar; and the third is a town in the Una tahsil of Hoshiarpar, Punjab. On my master list all three were in the Western India States Agency. My guess is that they (or it) were in the same place, and the different estates were breakouts due to property splits among the ruling family. In my histories, I have two: Anandpur in Kathiawar, Bombay ruled by the Pohat family (the Desa Bhoj's Estate) and Anandpur in Hoshiarpur District, Punjab. This, however, is a Sikh state that I'm not sure if it should even be called Anandpur. If you can straighten this out, I would be much obliged.
