Over the past two days I have been working to transform the desktop of my computer which runs Windows Vista to resemble that of the Leopard OS X found on macs so I thought I would share it with you lot and would like to see yours as well :D

Aside from the aesthetics, like changing backgrounds, more interactive themes, etc... under the hood this thing is a 430 compared to a Sunfire. Everything works well, the kernel has been redone to draw less system resources, and work a bit faster.

Multitasking is great.

Sounds worthwhile. From what you know are there many issues upgrading to 7? Does most of the software you already have still work properly?

It does, but do do your due diligence and go with a clean install, delete all vestiges of Vista's file-system, as it will ask you to keep system files in a separate folder on the new OS, which only takes up space, and the applications still need a bit of work to work.

However, that aside, the software I use daily works just fine for me.

Yes, I admit, rather unimaginative. I haven't changed the wallpaper since I bought it, I'm running XP (never had time to upgrade during Uni), and all my icons are for MATLAB, Maple, ModelSim, Xilinx, Notepad++, Lyx, Latex, and the good old handy DOS. But that should give you some idea about what I use this computer for.
(And let the open Adobe document be a teaser Wink)

I did used to have a picture of the hot blonde from BSG but decided it was rather pointless.

Go either on photobucket, or another file sharing service. Upload it and post the link. It should format the link for you. I believe it denotes it as "forum link," then copy/paste it.
