Tiger, Lion, Jaguar, Leopard or any other Felidae genus sub-groups. Does anyone have a particular favorite?

I like the ancient Panthera leo spelaea, the cave lion, wich was much larger than todays lions and often lived in a harsher climate.

Persian Leopards and Snow Leopards are my favourites.

Panthera is definitely my favourite genus with the Felidae family, especially if you include Snow Leopards into the Panthera genus (taxonomists can't stop debating the issue). However, the genus Neofelis which solely consists of the Clouded Leopard is another one close to my heart.

Having said that, it would be a lie to say I dislike the others, because to me, Felidae is without a doubt the most fascinating family in the animal kingdom!

Hi Knights! Remember this thread from the old forum

I wonder if there is any more news to report?

Well they have recently tagged yet another snow leopard (female), and the tagging and geospatial study are going very well. I can provide some more details when I get a free opportunity, in regards to the major happenings in snow leopard fieldwork over the past while.

I must admit that the extinct species are more interesting to me.

I wouldn't be too sure about the latter and as for the former, you've obviously never experienced a kamikaze kat! He'll take you out while he suicides!
