Thanks for that Gharani. I never really thought of Afghanistan as a beautiful country like this.

Quote This pictures from bamian reminds me of a historical region called Cappaducia in Turkey.

I just saw that Suren - Cappodocia is indeed stunning. I stayed in a hotel burrowed into the caves, and saw some stunning old Greek monasteries in the mountains, and of course, Hattusas!

Thank You Gharanai, we really need more threads like this to show good side of Middle East. Sadly, it is the perception of almost all of my average fellow countrymen in US, that Middle East is only a big desert. When I show them the real pictures of ME from Mountains, forests, riversides, lakes, gardens, water falls to modern cities and so on, they are usually surprised. Sometimes they wonder how biased the western media can be toward middle east (mostly covering the dark side of ME and misery of ME nations).

Smile Been there twice. They call it Gorame or something like that in Turkish. I went to Avanos ,a little city near Nevsehir and Gorame, with my friends and we had a lot of fun.Wink Did you go to Avanos, too?

Well indeed Afghanistan is still a beautiful place (natural beauty) and there are lots of areas around the country that even Afghans don't know much about and its beauty specially the Wakhan region at far most east at border with China.

Aster those were some lovely pictures thanks for sharing.

True that, but I am sure that many broad minded people around the world can easily differentiate between "Reality" and the image that media shows them.
I personally am very much found of natural beauty and try to cap as much of it as I can. I hope to see some pictures from Iran specially "Shiraz".
Over net there are many available but most of them are enhanced and doesn't look much of natural so if you have some, do share them.
