Hey,

The assassin game just ended, with Craze_b01 winning the game.

Two people missed the deadline for the tournament. Are you guys willing to play a non tournament game? And anyone else who want to play or learn how to play, they are invited as well. Just get an account at

http://www.conquerclub.com/ and give me your account number here, on the public thread. Once the game starts, you will receive an email at the account that you used to register with an invitation for the game.

Hi, there!

I have another player for this game. Can we get another player within the next 8 hours?

After that, I will start the game.

Again, this is a game where you state why you are moving in a certain way so that other people can learn from it.

Okay, I started another learning game.

Those to whom I spoke about the game, check your emails.

If you haven't played the game, I will guide you through it then.

Sorry guys, I already started that one :(

Do you want me to start another learning game? I am currently playing a game with highly rated players, and even in the first turn I have learned something.

I've never played risk before, but I've heard good things. I'm open to getting to know it, though!

Last chance to join the next non-tournament game of risk.

If you said that you wanted to play, please get an account in the website posted above and post here your user name so that I can add you to the game.

Hi, there,

I sent invites to those who wanted them. Sorry for the delay; I was quite sick over the weekend.

Hi, I am in if there is still room! I had to postpone my trip away for various reasons, but the result of that is I can get back into some more games.

I don't mind learning games but I think posting your strategy each turn kind of defeats the strategy. A lot of strategy is thinking what your opponent will do next round or planning your own moves several turns ahead... I think it would be better to just make a few notes and then explain your strategy after the game.

Hi, Crazy_Boi,

Well, learning games are a different kind of game. The point is to see what the kind of thinking that is going on so that you can apply that to a regular game.

Also, my conception of a learning game would be for people to post comments on moves. That hasn't really happened, so maybe I should make a point about that.

I think that these learning games help a lot more than we even realize it.

I am currently playing a game with experienced players, and the big thing that I notice is that the tempo is a lot slower. There are no big, quick grabs for territories as in our games. My suspicions are that any attempt for grabbing a big continent are squashed rather quickly, so they don't even attempt that.

Hopefully we will be able to be in that place soon :)

In the mean time, I guess what you want to play is a regular game. Fair enough.

Who else wants to play a game?

Nice one. How does this work then? Is it like the real board game (i.e.) you get mission cards?

It's fun stuff Zagrosmeister. You should give it a try next game.

There's the original map of Risk as we know it and there are tons of other creative maps. This 2.1 deal is a real slobberknocker.

Methinks this 2.1 map is gonna be a totally different strategy to the classical.

I like it though, I like that the countries have actual names and it looks more aesthetic than a map just made up of little circles.
