I have in my possession a sizeable (300+pages) typewritten account of my father's work and travels with the Anglo Iranian Oil Company, covering a three year period from 1944. It's a personal more than historical account of his travels in the Middle East in the years after WW2, but I wondered if there was an interest in it seeing a wider audience? I can take the time to write it in chunks, but I really have no idea of either the interest in such an account, or of the best place to write it.

Any advice welcomed, thank you.

Hello Vovin. I think it would be interesting if you shared it in a greatly reduced summary fashion along side your own personal views, with any follow up discussion focusing on what we know of the company as it relates to history immediately after the second world war and touching upon the cold war beginnings. But to write the 300 pages verbatim would be quite a taxing effort that i think it would be quite contrary to the efforts you wish to achieve on any history forum on the net.

You could publish it to a PDF for download.  I would certainly have an interest in reading it.

Yes, get it into electronic form first. All I can then suggest apart from standard MS-submission to publishers is that you might try it on to BP's PR department. (I think I'm right that BP is the current successor company to Anglo-Iranian.) Or write to Professor Leslie Grayson c/o the University of Virginia whose special area this is. Don't send the MS, just a letter asking him if he's interested. You can mention my name.
